Once a pledge has been on file for six months, it cannot be extended directly from customs centers. Instead, the procedure involves submitting a request from the center to the department, which then forwards it to the appropriate authority for necessary justifications. Following this, the request is sent back to the department to secure the Director General's approval after obtaining consent from the relevant authority. This entire process typically spans a minimum of three business days.
